Diagnostic discs V-factor are designed to species differentation of Haemophilus sp.

Test description:

Paper discs are impregnated with growth factor in form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide - NAD (V-factor). Growth factor is releasing from disc to agar, where particular species of Haemophilus creates zone around disc.

Diagnostic discs OPT are designed for preliminary identification of Streptococcus pneumoniae on base of its sensitivity to optochin.

Test description:

Diagnostic discs OPT with content of 5 µg optochin are designed for preliminary identification of Streptococcus pneumoniae on base of its sensitivity to optochin. Streptococcus pneumoniae is sensitive to optochin diffused around disc, where it creates defined inhibition zone against to other α-haemolytic streptococci, which are more resistant.

Assimilation diagnostic discs are designed for identification of clinically significant species of yeasts.

Test description:

Principle is based on ability of yeasts to assimilate carbohydrates and other chemicals diffused from disc into agar, what causes that grow of strain is stimulated around assimilation disc.

We offer assimilation diagnostic discs with content of:

Diagnostic discs BX-factor, BV-factor a BXV-factor are designed to detection and isolation of Haemophilus sp. bacteries.

PRINCIPLE

Paper discs are impregnated with bacitracin B (5 IU) and growth factors in form of hemine (BX-factor), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide - NAD (BV-factor) or with both (BXV-factor). Growth factors are releasing from disc to agar. Different species of Haemophilus create zone around particular disc according to nutrition requirements.
